The reducer, also known as the size head, is a type of chemical pipe fittings used to connect two pipes of different diameters. Divided into concentric head and eccentric head.

The structural characteristics of the reducer
The eccentric reducer is made of carbon steel and is expressed by multiplying the diameter of the large end by the diameter of the small end multiplied by the thickness.
Eccentric reducer standard: national standard, American standard, British standard and various non-standard high pressure stamping.
The eccentric reducer shrink forming process is to put the tube blank with the same diameter as the large end of the reducer into the forming die, and extrude the tube blank along the axial direction, so that the metal moves along the die cavity and shrinks. According to the diameter of the reducer, it can be divided into one pressing or multiple pressing.
The characteristics of eccentric reducer are that its strength is significantly higher than that of carbon steel with the same carbon content, good toughness and plasticity, good weldability and corrosion resistance.
Application of reducer
1. When the flow rate of the fluid in the pipeline changes, such as increase or decrease, and the flow requirement does not change much, the reducing pipe is needed.
2. At the inlet of the pump, in order to prevent cavitation, a reducer is required.
3. For joints with instruments, such as flow meters, regulating valves, etc., in order to cooperate with the joints of the instrument, reducers should also be used.
